Our commitment

Forge & Foundry is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including customers who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, or who navigate by keyboard. We want every customer to be able to browse our collections, learn about our pieces, and complete a purchase independently.

Standards we work towards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility regulations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Our store runs on Shopify, whose checkout is designed and maintained to meet these guidelines.

What we are doing

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time project. We regularly audit our site against WCAG 2.1 AA using automated testing tools and manual checks, and we prioritise fixes as issues are found. Recent work includes improving colour contrast, reviewing image alternative text across the catalogue, and assessing the accessibility of our product personalisation tools.

Known limitations

Some parts of our site rely on third-party applications (for example, our engraving preview tool and customer review displays). We are working with those providers to improve their accessibility. If any of these features are difficult for you to use, please contact us and we will gladly help you complete your order another way, including by email.
